100 Base T is a widely used st andard for Fast Ethernet local-area network (LAN) wiring and relatedequipment. As specified by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers;100Base-T LANs transmit data at 100 megabits per second over unshielded twistedpair(UTP) copper cable.
