A broadly used standard for Ethernet local-area network (LAN) wiring and relatedequipment. As specified by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers;10Base-T LANs transmit data at 10 megabits per second over unshielded twisted-pair(UTP) wires (similar to the wiring commonly used for indoor phone lines).
