FISMA Phase II (sometimes referred to as FISMA Phase 2, FISMA II, or FISMA 2) is not really an update of FISMA.

FISMA Phase II is a federal credentialing program coordinated by the National Institute of Standards and Technologies' Computer Security Division. It sets the qualifications and credentialing process for the people or organizations that who provide security assessments for FISMA Compliance.
