"indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity. Contracts that enable government customers to buy information technology (IT) services from pre-selected vendors at pre-negotiated rates. These contracts; developed and administered by individual government organizations to meet their own IT service requirements; are usually available to all federal agencies for a small administrative fee. The contracts typically cover a broad scope of IT services; and are awarded to several ""prime"" contractors. Each prime contractor team includes a group of subcontractors that enable it to provide the full suite of required services."
