Telework Exchange is a public-private partnership focused on demonstrating the tangible value of telework and serving the emerging educational and communication requirements of the Federal teleworker community. The organization facilitates communication among Federal teleworkers, telework managers, and IT professionals.

Resources
The Telework Exchange provides a number of resources to support teleworkers, telework managers, and those interested in telework. The Telework Exchange Online Eligibility Gizmo is a quiz-based calculator that helps employees cut through the double-speak and ambiguity surrounding their eligibility to telework. The Gizmo can be used in tandem with the Telework Value Calculators to present a business case for telework to management
Events
The Telework Exchange hosts an annual Town Hall Meeting, which brings together key government and industry telework stakeholders to discuss the current state of telework and critical next steps to promote and establish telework as mainstream operating procedure accross government agencies.
At the 2007 Town Hall Meeting on September 12, Lurita Doan, Administrator for the General Services Administration announced an aggressive telework commitment goal to increase agency telework participation. Her challenge will enable 50 percent of eligible agency employees to telework one or more days per week by 2010. Currently 10 percent of eligible GSA employees telework, compared to 4.2 percent for the overall Federal workforce. Her goal is to increase participation to 20 percent by the end of 2008, 40 percent by the end of 2009, and finally 50 percent by 2010. Read transcript.
Research Studies
The Telework Exchange conducts regular research studies on telework-related issues, including gas consumption, commuting costs, savings realized through telework, the value of telework in business continuity, management resistance, and data security.
In August, the organization released "Remote Control – Federal CISOs Dish on Mobility, Telework, and Data Security". The study, underwritten by HP, surveyed Federal CISOs and dispels myths of telework and security incompatibility.
